The Lion King
Mandalay Bay Theatre
3950 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
Las Vegas, Nevada 89119
The Lion King stage performance replaced ‘Mamma Mia’, which
appeared at the Mandalay Bay Theatre until May 2009.Mamma
Mia was the longest Broadway musical in Las Vegas history.
The Lion King stage production will thrill children and
adults alike, with the original songs performed from
Disney’s’ The Lion King movie. Some new songs were added in
order to entertain adults. But any child who has seen the
movie will really enjoy hearing their favorite Lion King
songs performed live on stage.
To recreate some of the animal characters for the stage
show, costume perfection had to reach new limits, adding
some performers walking on stilts to create some of the
larger animals, also adding some life-size puppets to create
more authentic animal movements.
Guests are recommended to purchase tickets to The Lion King
well in advance, as the show sells out quickly, as do most
Las Vegas shows.
